Beautiful Ladies, Kind Gentlemen,

The 2013 Play Fest is right around the corner. If you think that’s a long time in the distant future, you are not a playwright. With an October deadline, time is of the essence. I need those scripts by September….when we actually have time to read them! If you are a teacher and using the Play Fest as a teaching tool, 10 minute plays to one-acts are perfect. I discourage you from trying to teach your neophytes with a full-length requirement. Look at the TETA web site for full details on instructions for submission. Remember . . . use the student’s address and e-mail. We’ve had a devil of a time contacting winners and sending out checks.

On another thought: The TETA Playwriting Committee and Texas Dramatists work hand-in-hand to encourage playwrights and playwriting. Look at our web site at:

*9:15am - Coffee & Orientation
10:00am - “Steal Away”, John Lively, Austin; “Abounding Grace” by Amanda Dendler, Cypress
12:30pm – Lunch OYO
1:30pm – “Gods and Idols”, Jason Rainey, Austin; “Noah in My Bedroom”, Gary Swaim, Dallas
3:30pm – “Dasvasilysa, Most Lovely”, Kevin Kautzman, Austin; “One Eye, Two Eyes, and Three Eyes”, Bradley Nies, Brenham

We are looking for possible reading sites around Texas, so give me a shout out if you are interested in hosting for late summer through next winter.
