Remembering the Great Ones

Sara Schochler
TETA Board of Directors
Vice President K-12

Eric C. Skiles
TETA Board of Directors
Vice President - College/University

For all of us, there are individuals who have not only helped shaped our professional careers, but also have significantly influenced our lives on a personal level. Call them what you will; a colleague, mentor, professor, friend or master teacher. You would not be where you are today if not for their guidance, selflessness, professionalism and friendship.

It’s time to finally give them the appreciation they are due. TETA offers several awards every year for these deserving individuals.

Emeritus Award
Founders Award
Educator of the Year/College and University
Educator of the Year/Community-Junior College
Educator of the Year/High School
Educator of the Year/K-8

Once all award nominations are carefully reviewed and selected by the TETA Awards Committee, they are formally recognized at a very special banquet at TheatreFest. As the nominee, you will have the opportunity to speak briefly about them at the banquet and explain why you nominated them to receive this prestigious award. Family members of the recipients are welcome to attend this banquet along with other members of TETA. What a special evening with TETA friends and family! There’s great food, as well as talented artists to provide music and entertainment.

Please take the time to nominate someone who has helped shape the director, the educator, the person you are today. More information and requirements can be found on the TETA website.

Thank you very much.
