But, don’t despair! We have a way to show our appreciation; TETA recognizes two K-12 Educators of the Year: one for K-8 and one for secondary. The winners are recognized and honored during the Awards Banquet at TheatreFest. Each of us is probably acquainted with several outstanding theatre teachers who possess these and many other admirable traits, so let’s get them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for a TETA award.
As cliché as it may sound, just being nominated is a great honor because it lets the nominated teacher know that their hard work and commitment to quality theatre education has not gone unnoticed. In the past the process of nominating an educator may have seemed daunting and extremely time consuming, but the nomination process has been greatly simplified and streamlined.
